Heart-Shaped Mini Pizzas

Pizza night is always a favorite in our house, and these mini heart shaped pizzas are the perfect way to make Valentine’s Day special for the kids!

The best part about this recipe is how easy it is! All you need are four ingredients…the pizzas are made from biscuit dough and can be prepared in 30 minutes or less!

This is also a fun recipe that the kids can help make themselves. Every step is something they can do: rolling out the dough, cutting out the heart-shaped biscuits, and of course, adding all the toppings!

To Prep: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a 9×13 baking sheet with parchment paper.

  1. Place the biscuits on a cutting board or clean surface. Roll out each biscuit so they are between 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
  2. Use the heart cookie cutter to cut out heart shapes from each biscuit and place on the prepared pan.
  3. Spread a tablespoon of pizza sauce on each heart-shaped biscuit and sprinkle with cheese. If using pepperoni, add it here.

Prep Tips

  • Biscuits – We used Grands Southern Homestyle biscuits in this recipe (not the flaky biscuits, as those will pull apart). You can use another brand name, but make sure they are not the flaky style for best results. You could alternatively use refrigerated pizza dough, roll out the sheet, and cut out heart shaped pizzas from that.
  • Cheese – Mozzarella is a traditional, mild-flavored cheese often used for pizza. However, you’re welcome to use your favorite type of cheese.
  • Toppings – My kids love simple pepperoni pizzas, but you could of course add any of your favorite pizza toppings to this recipe!
